Why didn't we get new Sugimori art for gen III Pokemon when ORAS came out? I know the art wasn't as drastically different as gen II art when gen IV dropped but if you compare gen III art to gen VI art, there's still a notable difference in style.

As for OP, I sympathize. I would have loved to see some fresh Sugis of some Gen III mons, namely Cacturne and Armaldo.

Eh, I thought it was a pretty worthy remake, probably better overall than FRLG but not as good as HGSS. I think ORAS had a better base to work off of than FRLG but I do think that the seemingly compulsory yearly release format is causing recent games to feel a touch rushed. I wouldn't say it was a piece of shit though.

I think the lack of new art is a byproduct of a rush to release though so it is missing that.

Anon, the only reason OR/AS were bad was because they were released before they third version of the current Gen. HG/SS were released after Platinum and I'm pretty sure that if HG/SS were released before Platinum they would be as bad as OR/AS.
