I can't beat Diantha's mega gardevoir for the life of me. I can sweep her whole team no problem, but this gardevoir just wastes everything I have. wat do?

I didn't wanna go back and grind and have to re-fight the elite four, so I just cheesed the fight by maxing out Calm Mind and thunderbolting it with my own non-mega gardevoir.

Wow. Seriously? Were any of your pokemon level 80 before you took on the elite four?

Apparently everyone on /vp/ is just a huge grind-o-holic, because my pokemon were all around level 55-60 when I got to the end of Victory Road. Maybe you're the ones who suck at Pokemon, not me, lmao, cuz I didn't have to grind like you.

Actualy, I beat every gym leader with mons around the level limit because I wanted to see if you can be grand duke before beating the elite4 (which you can).

but, yeah, I beat Diantha countless times with underleveled teams in the chateau without having any trouble... you may want to think a little bit more about your moves.

My Pokémon were around level 70 by the time I got to Diantha, thanks to Pokémon Amie and Exp Share. X was ridiculously easy. I hope they nerf the Exp Share next gen.

No you don't. If you progress at a natural pace, fighting every trainer you meet but never stopping to grind in the wilderness, it should be impossible for any of your pokemon to be overleveled, unless you literally only used one or two pokemon throughout the entire game.

Even my starter was only level 59-ish. If you're overleveled, you were grinding.

Why is everyone in denial over this? There's nothing wrong with grinding. I mean grinding's not for me, since I never really have the patience for it, but you do what you gotta do to win. It's just another one of the tools available, right?

It wasn't by much, but I was overleveled.I was about 3 levels higher on average than major opponents. The issue is that you're supposed to be lower leveled than your opponent, not on par. And XY makes it so fucking easy to surpass them.

We're not in denial. We're not grinding. We're not having trouble with this easy as fuck game.
