It comes down to pokemon whose concept revolves around manipulation of life energy or life-based energy, pokemon that can manipulate aura or ki, pokemon whose concepts are specifically punching, pokemon whose concepts involve absorbing energy, psychic pokemon, fairy pokemon, and a few pokemon with similarities and patterns but dont fall into the other categories (Dark/Fighting types and the moisture based frogs).
The only exceptions I honestly cannot for the life of me understand are the Loppuny line, Kecleon, Regirock, and Spinda. The rest fall into the aforementioned categories.
