Why are you still playing Showdown instead of the PGL rules?
There are two rules: Rating and Free. In Rating every Pokemon can be used except for the Box Legends and Event Legends, the battles are faster and more offense-oriented. In Free there are no bans applied to Pokemon.
They also don't ban Pokemon like Aegislash, Greninja and M-Mawile. Abilities like Moxie aren't banned. The only clauses that exist are Pokemon and Items.
