Can OU right now handle Deoxys-N? There is like no reason to use it over it's superior forms in Ubers and is rotting the lowest rankings above the Chansey rank. Surely it might get a suspect test in OU soon right?

It was OU at the start of Gen 6.

It got banned

All forms of Deoxys are cancer in OU. I have no idea why Smogon keeps unbanning them at the start of every gen.

I don't understand. Was it originally intended to just not have forms, but then they changed their minds after RS during FRLG's development?

Yeah, pretty much. It didn't even change forms dynamically, it was hardcoded to the cart.

Pretty much yeah. I guess some people would argue that's just making a more streamlined Alakazam though. Deoxys would be fun if you could change forms in battle the way it does in the anime.

I don't think a BST re-draw is necessary. Just give each form a separate ability and they automatically have purpose.

I think a Mold Breaker Deoxys-N would be fucking radical, for example.

I suppose this could work as the alternative. Pressure is only really useful on Deoxys-D and maybe other forms with Protect to help drain low PP moves.

What would Deoxys-N use Mold Breaker for?

I agree with new abilities for the deoxys forms 100%. Defense should have Sturdy, even though it wouldn't help much. Speed should have Speed Boost, because it's funny that it's already the fastest damn thing, and Speed Boost means it's hard to outspeed it even with Dragon Dance Salamence and stuff like that. Not sure about Attack form. Adaptability, maybe? Just something other than god damn Pressure. Anything but Pressure. It's such a crappy ability. Situational stuff is better than Pressure.
