All they need to do to kill stall is change them to level 50 and a shorter timer like in game, but that will never happen.

We all know they should test Landorus-I, but they have too much of a genie boner to let that happen, so they'll probably either retest Aegislash or try to ban Metagross again. I could see them considering Charizard-X too, but that one is far more unlikely.

I have a theory that the top smogon players secretly want to make unpopular pokemon with shitty designs like Keldeo and Landorus top threats in OU so that karenfags, quasi-karenfags, and aestheticfags will never beat people willing to use ugly stuff.

real talk, re-test Aegislash. The current meta is ass, and Aegislash would serve as a check to most of today's top threats, including Metagross, Altaria, and Gardevoir. Nothing in OU is truly broken right now, with Landorus-I being the closest thing, but the meta is just really bad these days. Aegislash may have wrapped the entire game around his hilt, but him being reintroduced now may restore OU to being playable.

Sableye isnt very bulky. Send in a physical attacker who can absorb will-o-wisp thru either typing, substitutes, or whatever, and watch it melt.

I have been using Sableye on a stall team of mine, and let me just say, Chesnaught makes an amazing part of a stall/defensive core on pretty much any team. Seriously, this nigga checks almost every TTar, Megagross, Hippowdon, Bisharp,Gyarados and many other very common physical threats out there. He is probably my 1st or 2nd most used mon during battles. here's the standard build i like.

Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD

also, you are *mostly* right about megagross. chesnaught cannot "revenge wall" it very well on paper, but a combination of leech seeding him when he does a maximum of 73.1% to you with zen headbutt, then gaining lefties and seeds, shielding, and gaining another 12.5 health, then hitting it with a hammer arm, you can take off like 75% or more of its health, which would of course cost your chesnaught about the same amount.

bug isn't a good attacking type. if it runs one coverage move it's always going to be walled by offensive mons, let alone defensive, and if it runs two it has to forgo setup or recovery, which seriously undermine its utility. support sets are better but still easily threatened due to common weaknesses and hazard weakness.

Mono-Bug is overall the worst offensive and defensive type overall. Even mono-Ice has some merits since it's a powerful offensive type and defensively it isn't much worse than Bug. Bugceus is overall the worst Arceus forme.

Mega Metagross and Air Balloon Heatran handle most of this list pretty well. They also provide a Flying resistance and Fire immunity, with Bugceus offering a Ground resistance. One can run a support set with Will-o-Wisp to weaken Dragonite, Kyurem-B and some Mega Altaria or force out Chansey and Clefable with Perish Song, whichever is necessary. Physically offensive sets would like run X Scizzor, Stone Edge and EQ or Espeed with SD while special CM sets have one or two of T-bolt/Fire Blast/Earth Power/Ice Beam to hit what the rest of the team can't. Bulky Mega Altaria is not strong enough to beat CM variants, it will eventually setup enough and mow it down despite the Bug resist.

I acknowledge that Bug by itself is very bad, but it's not bad enough to make Arceus viable in OU. Given the amount of options Bugceus has, along with none of its stats falling into the bad category, it should be fairly easy to slap it on most teams and still have an appropriate set that allows it to contribute.

Ice resist is excellent and you can't deny it. What does Bug resist? Grass? kek. Fighting? Ground? Those two are always paired with rock so that doesn't mean jack. Meanwhile it shares Ice's two worst weaknesses (fire and rock) and it has an awful flying weakness on top if it, which is a death sentence in a metagame where flyspam is very common. If you take both the offensive and defensive merits of ice and bug, the former is the better type.

grass and bug are shit both offensively and defensively and fighting's only saving grace is being good at offense otherwise it would be almost as bad as it was in gen 1 now that fairies and smogonbird exist

This is the thing with Aegislash, it forces a lot mons to completely change their coverage just to fit in a move to hit it. otherwise they are completely hard walled by it and give it free switch ins. It's good for giving players a tool against some of the more threatening mons, but it also has such a massive polarizing effect because it centers everything around it (mostly).

You could say the exact same about things like Ferrothorn and Blissey/Chansey though. Shit like Azumarill and Scizor have to run Superpower thanks to Ferrothorn just existing and that's kind of always going to be the case for every new decent Pokemon. Look at Sableye forcing Fire or Fairy wallbreakers.

Ground and Fighting resists are probably the best 2 resists something can have.

Ice is weak to Stealth Rock and Fire (like Bug), but it's also weak to Fighting (arguably the best offensive type in OU, see Mega Lopunny, Mega Gallade, Keldeo, practically every special attacker running it if it can such as Mega Gardevoir, Gengar, Mega Alakazam, Mega Zard Y). Ice is also weak to Steel (Scizor can switch in on any Ice attack and just click Bullet Punch, Mega Metagross can click Meteor Mash, Bisharp clicks Iron Head)

Why would it get Technician?

Literally every Technician Pokemon ever is a bipedal one (except Persian but it evolves from Meowth, which has Technician too) and Technicians are predominantly Normal type.

bp got spammed in the oras tours last week with great success
everyone's been clamoring for a lando suspect since like january so, and same with aegis since oras started
sableye is a non presence in tournaments so i cant really see it getting suspected unless it becomes a major problem on ladder, which it is not right now
