WHAT WOULD A BORDERLINE BETWEEN OU AND UBERS ACCOMPLISH?
From Smogon's point of view, if they make this tier, nothing will happen. The point of other borderlines is that a Pokemon (for example, Staraptor) hasn't got enough usage to be OU, but it's still too good to be UU. So they banned Staraptor to Borderline. It can be used in OU and anything above.
Let's say they make this new Borderline Tier, let's call it Ubers BL. Let's say they ban something, for the sake of argument it's Mega Metagross.
So Mega Metagross goes to Ubers BL. You're not allowed to use it in OU. You are allowed to use it in Ubers and only Ubers.
Does that sound familiar?
Oh yeah, it's the exact fucking same as banning it to Ubers.
