every other battle, including gyms, all he had to do was dark void + one attackt to defeat a pokemon. even if it gets hit from a STAB megahorn, you wont get it knocked out anyway
the only pokemon that even stands a chance at that darkrai 1v1 is cynthia's garchomp or diantha's mega gardevoir, which is capable of defeating an E4's mega scizor in one not very effective STAB moon blast
