What's the deal with amiibos and why does everyone care about them? Wtf do they do? My friend told me he threw away a greninja and lucario amiibo and I don't understand why people care about them

Meh, I don't own one by choice. I was awake when pre-orders went live. Prior to that, I had 29/29 SSB Amiibo that I snagged at MSRP.

I decided it was just dumb for me to be collecting these damn things just for the sake of collecting, so I sold my entire collection for $1200 and made off with a huge profit.

Besides, these things will get multiple production runs. I'm calling it now. I'll pick one up later if I want one.

Not saying that physical DLC like this is a good thing, but you'd think Skylanders would get the same amount of attention if not more, since technically have more actual use. Especially the older ones, they're compatible with at least 8 games now probably (counting the 3DS versions of the games as separate).

I don't get it either.
