Lots of mixed attackers so they can fully abuse both the physical and special spectrum of ice attacks. Also give them decent defenses too. To compensate, you can just take out a lot of their HP and Speed but I think it'll be worth it for newer ice types, so long as they aren't psuedos or legendaries

Your solution to fixing a type is to just buff some Pokemon from that type, increase the power of Ice Shard to 60 which makes no sense, and give a bunch of new moves to Pokemon? You literally added 6 new moves to Froslass.

Dude, I tried to make good ice type pokemon with the LEAST amount of changes and that's what I got. Everything after Froslass is shit and would have needed more help. These are the only 3 ice types in existence that are not beyond being saved. And yes that's the only real solution. There are other shit types but nobody cares because they have severa good pokemon. If these 3 beasts I created started running around in OU nobody would give a fuck that the type is shit anymore.

Ice Shard is shit. Boost the move to 60 so it can still get boosted by Technician.

It's only not seen that much because Ice types are non-existant.

If you genuinely believe that Ice Shard should be buffed to 60 Base Power when literally EVERY OTHER priority move barring special circumstances (Extremespeed, Sucker Punch. Both are different moves than the other priority moves) is 40 Base Poewr, and write it off as 'Ice Shard is shit anyway', when you have the option to give ice actual resistances and buffs, you're a fucking dumb shit.

I haven't played XY, so I'm not sure about that, but it seems like none of the ice types are available until the last half of the game.

This is a nice and underrated catch, I personally agree on this and the fact that Ice isn't strong or extremely overpowered to be limited in the early game, probably only BW and BW2 detain the record of the earliest avaible Ice types since/before the 5th gym which is still too long considering sometimes Dragon and other relevant types are avaible even earlier. Absolutely no reason to not make Ice type gyms placed in one of the first 4 badges, unless the only problem is the TM Gift that right now is either Ice Beam, Avalanche or Frost Breath with only Avalanche being somehow balanced that early thanks to its rare compatibility with Pokemon.

I'm still in favor of buffing Hail with either reducing the Speed all non-Ice type Pokemon on the field by -1 while the weather is active or giving the Defense boost like Sandstorm does with Rock types. Because right now Hail has a very outdated effect that either activates unreliable Snow Cloak on barely usable Pokemon or Ice Body that is extremely situational and only had a decent use back in Gen5. An extra addition of the above suggested ideas would make at least an esier Blizzard spam and fair advantage to these typed Pokemon.

The reasonable changes seem good, ability changes are ultimately subjective but Magic Guard Articuno seems alright.

Regice, as well as the rest of the Regi group, all really just need Recover. Most Eevee evolutions suffer from shitty offensive movepools too.

Because move exclusivity just boosts Smeargle's usage and all that would do is have more Pokemon with moves that can get them out of frozen status more often, like Flame Charge. And more fire types means less ice types and more Smeargle.

Not to mention it's still freeze, it would be entirely random how effective the move actually is.
