ITT: Small things you like/dislike in the games

I like the footstep sound effects in HGSS.
I dislike the fact you only get Master ribbons in ORAS.

I like the ambient sounds in HGSS, like getting near the shore and hearing the waves

That's not a small thing, that's a fucking gamebreaking flaw. You cannot argue any fucking Pokedex is worse than DP because Gen I and II both had plenty of likable Pokemon you might want to catch.

I liked the in-battle dialogue with important trainers in Gen 4 and 5 (along with the dynamic music changes in Gen 5). That was always a cool little touch for gym battles.

I don't like how rare evolutionary stones can be especially with the Gen 4-introduced ones.

I dislike that they didn't bother to translate the Ribbons from the GBA games in Gen 6. Where's the ribbons celebrating my Kanto hall of fame? My Colosseum winning streak? My Battle Frontier winning streak? My Shadow mon purification?

Also, it bugs me how they STILL haven't acknowledged mons I caught in Orre. Obviously "Faraway Land" is a placeholder for mons that were caught in routes not listed in the game's code (like an ORAS mon traded to XY), but it still bugs me.

I liked the advances to the PC system in Gen 3. I still think it's one of the most important and least recognized changes they ever made.
I dislike having a menu input and cutscene for every HM use, even context-obvious ones like Strength boulders and Surf.

The Seals could only be bought from the last town but are introduced near the beginning.
Coping the Amnity Park code and applying it to the entire game with every Pokemon.

I disliked the roller skates in X and Y to the point of cheating just to remove that trash.

I liked Platinum, Diamond and Pearl's night music.
I disliked FRLG blocking Hoenn and Johto Pokemon (even stuff like Crobat) until the postgame.

This is true. The moves purified mons get don't even pass the GTS hack check (and yet ACTUALLY hacked mons get through just fine).
