When there's a tie between two or three things, you don't combine them.
Let's say there are 4 people running a race.
The fastest man finishes first.
Two people finish at the same exact time.
Then the slowest person finishes dead last.
Just because two people finished at the same time does not group them together. The man who came in last is still the fourth person to cross the line

1 Fast
2 Tying Person 1/Tying Person 2
4 Slow
