When they retcon Raichu into Mega Pikachu in a new gen.

Raichus transferred forward to that gen will turn into Pikachus holding a mega stone. Mega Pikachu will also be given a bad stat distribution and shitty ability to discourage using it over a Light Ball.

Raichu has a lot more personality than Pikachu, I think.

I always got a vaguely Arabian vibe from it, but I'm not sure why.
