Literally how would they even get to that size when all that would be added is a few lines of dialogue, some event markers, and possibly some cheap visual effects?

The models, sound effects, locations, and music are all in the game already.

Actually to be honest ORAS is pretty optimized as far as file sizes and shit are concerned.

Like all of the content in the entire game fit into that 250mb demo.

It's a problem with 3DS patches. They can't just add files on the end, they have to replace the whole file. It's the same reason why they didn't make a patch to add ORAS megas to XY. They COULD, but the patch would be at least 1gb big, because the file containing the models is 1gb big.

This anon might be right about the content, but in reality what takes up the most space in the game are the models and tilesets for the different cities/caves and such

Because the 2D world was horrifyingly lame. You could only see the pokemon in 2 sprites just shaking violently. Just because the BF existed there does NOT mean 2D is the master race.

(W2 has that title alongside SS. Platinum is 3rd place.)
