Clemont should've left Luxray at the gym for Clembot to use and took Heliolisk with him. Luxray is pretty much finished in terms of development and Heliolisk never got to travel on the main cast. Plus, at least Heliolisk is a gen 6 mon.

I agree with the sentiment though. 95% of the time, they ruin everything. The 5% where they're not sucking is things like the Jessie episode, and like last week, where they almost triggered a mega mode before the main protag. Or any time Wobuffet goes full on Smogon. That's always cool to watch
