Never said a thing about the gen-wise. As matter of fact the only thing that I miss from the old gens is the coloring, since golden/silver they changed the way of coloring. I miss the watercolor like of the old ones. All the rest is relative, just like my original post says how Mr Mime/Jynx are pathetic
The problem is not being based on objects, the problem is how goofy they look. Does not need to be cool things. Muk is a slime that walks and Koffing is a big ball of dirty, however they look menacing/interesting enough to ignore how absurd the concept is. Unfortunately some pokemons don't have the same luck, and end up just being a table with eyes a la Pixar design
