I honestly think banning king's shield is the answer; it's the only mon that gets it so it doesn't affect anything else, and bottom line is that king's shield is the reason it's so damn awful to deal with.
Banning kings shield would result in a huge drop in viability, but there'd still be useful enough ways to use it (as a wall that can switch out to restore shield form, in trick room as blade form, or setup sweeper with automize/swords dance) if people felt so attached to it that they needed to.
Keep aegislash, ban king's shield.
While we're at it - allow torrent greninja and blaze blaziken but leave protean/speed boost variants banned.
