Come up with a new level of evolution. Something stronger than mega evolution,but it can't make mega evolution completely useless. Try to make it insanely powerful without it being too much like digimon. By insanely powerful I mean like tyranitar becoming kaiju size or some shit. Pic unrelated

Expand on the concept of mega evolution sans stone. Same process with different lore but stronger than regular mega evolution by virtue of pokemon being able to hold other items.

i.e. M-Mewtwo Y appears as a suped-up Mewtwo, whereas M-Mewtwo X is a Mewtwo that plays differently, being physically oriented.

I actually really like this idea. It has an opportunity cost that goes beyond the Mega Slot, so you'd have to decide if the shit is worth it

Also

yeah, I liked the idea of a Berserker state for pokemon, but realized as I finished posting that it would be crap for stall-built mons.

I was considering typing up another one, something like "Stoic" which is the same except it heals by 1/8 every turn, even when switched out, but all your attacks do half damage. You'd also be immune to Flinch and essentially also have Oblivious.

Hold up. Not trying to shit on your idea, but let's think about this.

Berserker would have double overall stats. That's more than a 2x attack boost since bases work oddly, and the defense boost.

Stoic would basically have the same shit, yet healing. So their attacks are doing slightly more than the base form, while still having bolstered defenses and healing.

Sounds like the stoic gets the better deal?

What if stoic got a 1.5 boost to all stats and kept the 1/8 healing?

Do you like that idea or no?

Shit, I didnt mean to make it seem that Stoic doubles all stats, that would be dumb.
It basically gives you super-Leftovers that work all the time, another ability AND Oblivious+Inner Focus.

Flareon would be able to utilize both though. Think about it. Sky high attack for the frenzy with a nice speed boost, along with a sexy base 220 special defense. Stoic would make it one of the best defensive shitters in the game with a base 220 special defense, access to WoW to neuter physical attackers, and it has access to clerical options

I still like that idea from that thread a while ago; Fusion evos.
Certain Pokemon, when in the same party, can evolve together into a permanent symbiotic form.
Great base stats (600 being common) but two health bars, and the stats are -technically- divided.
If one half faints, then the base stat total drops, like Archeops. Could also lose a type, the example a drawfriend drew was a walking tree with a bird roosting in it - it was Grass/Flying, with the bird having less Defense. If it fainted first, it became just the tree and pure Grass type.

But what can you do for the shiny pokemon fusing? Do you just have a vanilla fused form, or does it remain shiny via a dominant fusee? Or hell, no matter what, shiny takes priority?

I remember that thread, too. It sounded complex on paper but I once drew out how the stats and health bar would look like during a slow work shift and it sounds pretty interesting. I could try MSPainting or something, the napkin is long gone.

I came up with 'Personal Evolution' that works similar to Mega, but doesn't wear unless the user wants to or is KO'd, and the boosts is smaller. So it's kinda like a form change.
Plus the final effect depends on the user itself and you need to find a stone for your type (dual-types need to find both).
