Speaking of Serena, I really wish they had stuck to having her making PR videos and trying to get big off of that instead of going into the showcases, which honestly feel like a cop out to me. If anything, having her ultimately pursuing acting, while Ash gets into battling would have them meet at the same end goal of getting on Diantha's level, which makes her that much more important as a foe. She's kinda tailor made for that actually

You know its kind of disappointing that Serena is getting a Sylveon after the big showcasing that Pokemon will get at Valerie's Gym. Between that and that early filler with Sylveon seeing the pokemon on the cast all the time will be boring.
