Houndoom looks super RBY but the way they just kind of threw the black and red together like that makes him look striking. I still remember the first time I saw one ingame it surprised me.
Also look at tangela, he's so god damn cyan. super eye-catching. I love the palette of these games, lots of magenta (I forgot to put those in, gligar in silver is a good example)
My all time favorite would have to be feraligatr in silver, I still think of this sprite when I think of the pokemon. No other sprite does him justice, makes him all derpy. This fucker is serious. 2nd place goes to mareep for looking amazing. So yea the guys that made these on that hardware were so talented. Not to mention two great versions of every pokemon for the two games yikes.
