I use the exp share, never bothered with o-powers, and I use pokemon I like; not OU or whatever Smogon deems acceptable.

Fact of the matter is, Pokemon has always been easy and I'm fine with that. If I want a challenge I can play against other real people. If Gamefreak were to add a Hard Mode though I wouldn't complain. We could also use a New Game+ for making leveling pokemon easier.

I don't use either O-Powers or Exp. Share, but I'm autistic enough to soft reset until get/catch mons with good natures and "EV train" (not minmaxing but I try to switch in mons that'll benefit the most from the EVs the pokemon will earn)

Not even in the postgame? Exp.Share and Experience Power 3 are useful when you want to grind a whole team to level 100 as quickly as possible.

In all seriousness, I used EXP Share until about the 6th Gym in Y because it didn't click to me until about then I was making a huge mistake. In AS, the first thing I did was turn if off the moment I could.

I used exp share and some O-powers for cash, but what I did was I'd switch out Pokemon during battles so I'd get to use the whole team not just one or two. I would also switch out to my weaker Pokemon during gym battles so I'd be harder.

Not at all. I only look at the learning list of my pokemon to know what they can learn and how.
And usually I play with a monotype team, and use my favorites of that type, so I don't care about stats.

Well, I don't complain about that. I just think the game should have more side quests with small rewards, like itens, shiny pokemons, pokemons that you can't get at wild, megastones... Especially megastones, I mean... Let me fight for them, not just find them on random spots or be playing a minigames for them.

Well, it may actually be a bit easier because Gym Leaders have shit teams for the most part, and the E4 only uses four pokemon, but it's not that big of a deal.

It makes all of your pokemon over levelled. If you're going to have it work the way it does in Gen 6 then you need to either design the game around people using it or it removes all the challenge from the game, and it's not like the single player was hard to begin with.

because I'm never sure what it is they actually want, and how you'd go about making something more 'difficult' without being kind of a dick to casuals, first timers, and- babies, I guess.

I didn't figure out O-Powers until later. I mainly just used them on other people at random. Oh well.

There's nothing wrong with using EXP share and then complaining the game is too easy. The game presents it to you as a useful tool and it should be assumed that the player will use it. If it's supposed to be an easy setting they should flat out make a fucking easy setting instead of expecting the player to know in advance.

See, this is something a lot of people don't realize. The games aren't balanced around using the same six pokemon through the whole game; you're supposed to be constantly changing up your party.
