>>23305466Yeah, I can agree they made bike simulator and grinding for competitive a lot easier and that's a good thing, but when there's nothing to use those Pokémon on besides the Maison and online, it's a little dull. I can't really get into competitive in general because it feels like most people use the same Pokémon; I know things like Smogon have tiers but within the actual game you only have one meta per battle type.
Online Battle Factory when, Game Freak? Or something like Little Cup? I want to play against more Pokémon than official VGC and free battles, the former obviously just uses the top VGC teams and the latter is auradeer, or Megafug. I know people use the top Pokémon of a meta and there's nothing wrong with that when there are enough metas, but we don't have that in the games. Maybe if they made a new Stadium we'd have it.
I spent about 400 hours in XY completing my living Dex and just randomly breeding teams I never use, but the main game being dull, the postgame being sparse, and the online not having the options of Showdown (I don't even use Showdown much but I like being able to play something like UU where I'll see different teams compared to OU), it makes the easier way to get into competitive a good base with nothing built upon it. Gen VI's engine as a whole is like that, a good base but someone needs to use it to build something great.
