With that trainwreck that ORAS is I can't really blame them, hell even I sometimes i just go back to Kalos and feel grateful because maybe the game has a non-existent postgame but atleast has more vivid and variated enviorments.

X/Y as a Pokemon game failed. If it were an online simulator for cheap, I could get behind it.

Although a lot of the music was shared with Colosseum, GoD had some amazing tracks of its own.
I can't say the say for X/Y.

Indeed. Gale of XDness had a great soundtrack, but it got repetitive after a couple of playthroughs. Still my favorite 3D game, though. Over twice as good as X/Y.

The Pokemon games are designed to provoke feelings of nostalgia, that's one of the main reasons people keep buying them. They're not really nostalgic for X/Y per se, they're nostalgic for Pokemon in general but they likely haven't gone through X/Y 20 times yet like the others before so that's the one triggering things right now. But really it could be any of the games
