I like Water types overall, but in the end, Starmie will always be my nigga. I've always loved its design and it's always stood out from other Water types in my mind because I went to great lengths to level my Staryu in Blue to make it evolve. I was a dumbass back then so I didn't think about trying a water stone so my Staryu's level was in the 80's and it was a veritable powerhouse even before I got it to evolve. It was mindblowing when I finally did get it to evolve. It was also one of my first breeding projects back in Emerald and though its IVs kinda stink by today's standards, it tore through the Battle Frontier and early gen IV wi-fi battles. I have lots of fond memories of that specific Starmie and it's still with me almost 10 years later.
