I like Magcargo as much as the next guy, but Magcargo, despite having the coveted Shell Smash, doesn't amount to much of a sweeper and I would personally prefer a defensive set. But if you want it, here you go...
Magcargo @ Red Card
Ability: Weak Armor
EVs: 110 Def / 252 SpA / 146 Spe
Modest Nature
- Shell Smash
- Guard Swap
- Flamethrower/Fire Blast
- Ancient Power
This Magcargo attempts to be somewhat offensive and defensive at the same time. Shell Smash is the prime set up move for sweeping, but lowers your defenses, leaving you wide open. Guard Swap can be used to hinder the opponent with the very drops you've been given. It may sound a bit silly to run special Magcargo while you're swapping defense drops, but should they manage to defeat Magcargo, you could always send out something to revenge kill them. Red Card is somewhat gimmicky, but (hopefully) can phase the opponent to something helpless for Magcargo to destroy. Ancientpower can patch up defenses if you think Magcargo isn't able to tank the next hit. EVs are to give Magcargo a mix of power, speed, and bulk. Magcargo isn't left with very much coverage, which is why Magcargo needs a lot of team support, which is generally the risk in using less-than-amazing pokemon.
