Timburr is a 3 stage evolution that evolves only via levels.

It's really the only option.

I like Timburr, bur to see it honestly edging out Machop is kind of amazing considering how hated Timburr line is from Gen 5, and even up to now by a lot of people, while Machop line is still pretty iconic.

I guess the metagame effect of Timburr line's usefulness is starting to catch up now.

Aron is 4x weak to fighting instead of 2, but consider that swampert is 4x weak to grass instead of 2

I'm not the OP, but if I were to make a starter triangle I'd make them relatively equal bst-wise and definitely equal evolution-wise

I'd also use Zubat as the flying starter instead of a bird because crobat is qt

This is so pleasing, both for muh patterns and cause I've always been an earth-fag (as in elemental, no hippy).
Also, with these starters you should start off in a desert/mountainous town. May as well make the game "Earth Version", too, with either an Ocean version or Sky version.

Also, starters are -generally- very gender neutral aside from Braixen yeah we know, they appear to be either sex or none at all, so its easier for kids to connect with them since they're 'blank slates'.
The Machamp line is "big muscled dudes". They're even blue, a boys color.
