If you don't plan on buying diamonds, then I recommend you to save them.
If it's a non-fever kyogre then there's a high chance it'll stay for a while even if you don't land on it.
As for stars, I believe they're completely random. But I've noticed that if you're missing a single pokemon in a balloon, it will appear on it after you catch the rest.

I fucking FINALLY beat World Champsionship X.
The secret? It's to use Endeavour. (Should've thought of it sooner.)

The mobs have 3000+ HP, using Endeavour can reduce that by 2400-3000 or so in a single strike, and you should be able to one-shot them something good like Giga Impact. Haxorus worked well for this task, as did Keldeo.
That eliminated the time problem, the bosses are still difficult, but I had a Snappy Cobalion with Sacred Sword and Hone Claws, so that took out bosses fast enough.

It was still really fucking hard, I had to continue twice, I only dared do that because I had a lot of time on the clock.

The reward is a Battle Royale background, and it really is the final challenge, the end credits will play when you beat it.

So here's the full scope of the battle:

>Mob Wave 1: Tyrantrum, Aggron and Tyranitar
>Mob Wave 2: Nidoking, Nidoqueen and Ampharos
>Boss Wave 1: Regirock, Registeel, Regice and Regigigas
>Mob Wave 3: Aerodactyl, Dragonite and Gyarados
>Boss Wave 2: Cresselia and Heatran
>Mob Wave 4: Garchomp, Tangrowth and Rhyperior
>Boss Wave 3: Dialga and Palkia
>Mob Wave 5: Volcarona, Archeops and Hydreigon
>Boss Wave 4: Zekrom and Reshiram
>Mob Wave 6: Milotic, Metagross and something else (I forget)
>Final bosses: Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon

Surprisingly, does not feature Arceus as a boss, but I guess Rumble Blast already did that.

That's what I thought at first.
Now I can barely break 30 gems, keep buying wobble and trait trees and spending gems on trying to catch absolutely everything and I don't even have yet the Origin balloon.
At least the game has served me well for filling in 15-30 minutes gaps in my schedule, haven't yet spent gems inflating balloons.

Isn't that what the 3000 bought gems version is? What with the lower prices for removing wait times and free gems daily.

If anything, what bothers me the most is how much content I have left. Rank 35 right now, I know that there are about 30 to 35 more ranks (and getting harder for me to go further, with the lack of gems to buy more balloons).

Downloadable, weekly challenges like in Pokemon Shuffle would be a nice thing

I find it is few content for that price. And still relies on a randomness factor and waiting times if you use all your gems, something that I don't want to pay for.

I don't blame ya. I can't recall reading about it anywhere, and I only found it out by fucking around with the circle pad out of boredom once while switching. When moving the circle pad, the turnkey sped up both visually and audibly. Makes switching from a Gutsy mon to a Heal Pulse mon or damage-dealing mon a breeze.

Technically it starts the day after you complete the 3000th diamond purchase.
Also: along with the other "daily" things, I can't determine exactly when the "day" changes. It's not like Shuffle where it's a set UTC marker but it doesn't seem to be a 24-hour timer exactly either.

Imo the only really good ones are gutsy (helps catch shit), speedy, and auto-heal.

I could be forgetting some, but outside of techie (lets you use both moves quick, but usually both moves aren't good) I don't think any of the others are that good, just stat boosts.

You can look at what traits do in any of the pokemon lists, just press y for extra info.

techie is just like technician. lower star moves are better.

Chop-chop let you alternate between A and B moves, which if you get the move relearner, can offer you some decent options. I personally like combining dash style moves with something Snappy (uses moves quicker), especially Flame Charge (which raises speed on hit, even barrels).

Some move my charizard has (I think dragon claw) is a really good move, it's infinitely spammable, does good damage, and you can move around a fair bit.

I've done a few arena things just moving it around and he automatically kills shit.

Black smoke means they're in rage mode and will become a lot more aggressive. The biggest issue is that they don't have to wait as long between attacks. If they go into white smoke mode during it, they'll snap out of it almost instantly.

Is it just me, or the boss Pokemon who have those sparkles around them (guarranteed catch) tend to be more agressive than usual? Like the game goes "OK you can catch this bos...that is, IF you can beat it."

First time I ran into Latios without it, he was relatively easy to beat. When I revisited the stage and he had those sparkles around him, he seemed way more agressive, constantly spamming attacks.

Ok. Is there anything that shows how moves work? Like Psychic Goes in a sort of beam and takes a small amount of time to fire, while things like air slash and dragon claw fire very quickly and dragon claw you can even just spam it around in a direction.

If anyone is unaware, the move Focus Energy increases wobble chance (critical hit = wobble in this game), if you wanna grab a Pokemon with that before a boss fight. So far I've caught a Furret with it; I need to see which other Pokemon can learn it via the move tutor.

shows apparently they caught one at a lower rank than myself.

I was on a Ho-oh stage that I ended up completing after spending almost 30 gems returning to expecting to catch it, but it refused to drop under any circumstances.

I can only assume the drop rate for legendaries is even lower than that for normal bosses, however, getting them to wobble will still give 100% catch rate.

If you're not familiar with it, on occasion when you hit a Pokemon, it will look stunned, have stars spin around its head and make a distinct noise. That Pokemon is "wobbling", and there is a chance of it happening anytime a Pokemon is damaged (like a critical hit). If you defeat a Pokemon while it's wobbling, you are guaranteed a catch.

If you're fighting a boss, they are less likely to wobble, but it still happens. The best time to attempt it is to wait for them to be 'cooling down', usually after attacking about 3 times. You'll see white smoke above their head; that is the time to attack them. If they start wobbling, pummel them with everything you have.

This takes practice, but if you take the right Pokemon with the right moves and time things properly, you can significantly increase your chance of catching a boss.

I'm just confused on why I wasn't able to get anywhere close with Ho-oh, and why Serebii and other places would claim that you have to "beat the game" before catching a legendary. Even if it was "catch all the pokes in the area", I did that too. Anyway, the gems aren't a huge loss. The promo gems (and regular gems) are super cheap and I haven't had a need for more yet.

Well you definitely don't need to beat the game, that's misinformation. I hadn't caught all the Pokemon in that area, and I caught him without wobbling. I've also gotten other legendaries to wobble before (but failed to defeat them before then)

It's worth the extra diamond in my opinion. Both of those moves will absolutely wreck shit. Also if you've got the mega stone store pick one up for Groudon, I've found most water Pokemon use water attacks, which won't do any damage. Kyogre is useful too, but fire Pokemon often use non-fire attacks

You can catch any pokemon that appears as a stage boss on hot air balloons no restrictions on when. The best method for catching boss/legendary pokemon is to start by clearing out all the minion pokemon so they don't mess with you while you're trying to wobble the boss. Boss pokemon have a main attack which they usually use 3 or 4 times then they use a secondary attack. Wait for the boss to use its secondary attack after which it will start its rest period and close its eyes and puff out white smoke for a time, this is the best time to attack it with endeavor in hopes of wobbling it, a pokemon with the gutsy trait is best if you have one. After resting for a few seconds the boss will open its eyes and become invincible for a few seconds before resuming its normal attack pattern. The window of attack for the rest period is shorter when the boss is angry and puffing out black smoke but its still possible to wobble when they're angry too. People use endeavor because it does minimal damage so you have more chances to wobble the boss, but since it does so little damage you will want a second attack to use to actually knock over the boss once it starts wobbling.

I have more trouble actually getting the balloon roulette to land in a legendary stage than actually catching them, I don't want to buy diamonds as of yet and I can't afford to waste them on the timing stop.

Yeah that'd be nice, but I understand they were being frugal, especially for a f2p game. The models here are the ones from My Pokemon Ranch back in 2008. But, they are nice and cute, and show gender differences too, which I didn't expect.
