Why are you ignoring the replies? His official English name in every game is Blue, not Green. LeafGreen suggests Red and not Green like FireRed, which is further proof that preset name lists aren't valid.

Green is the original name of the rival.

She only appears in FRLG if you select her as your character.
As soon as you say "girl" (or "boy") you type in your name. There are no suggestions. I don't know where Bulbapedia is getting that list from.

They changed them outside of Japan because Japanese Generation I started with Red and Green, with Blue coming out later, while Western Generation I started with Red and Blue (Japanese Blue source code + translation + split into two versions with the same exclusive content as Japanese Red and Green--exclusive Pokémon in the wild and as prizes).
