The anime-like Misty blew it for me.

If the thing is based on the games, why not use the best Misty design around - the GSC one?

Also, sometimes it feels just too random... But sure, I do appreciate it for not being another hentai or a disgusting random-character love story. One of really few quality doujins.

Thing is it's using its own canon that happens to take some characters from both of those ones.

For mixing of the two canons, it's easily the most seamless I've seen them do it.

Yeah I got it, also thought it was a FRLG gen manga, it is located between Gen4 and Gen5 apparently.

Does anyone have the source with the other chapters that are not translate yet? Spanish or Japanese is fine.

Red's current team in this manga is formed from canon from other media:

Pikachu: Ash's first pokemon, no flashback yet but it seems like they both met like in EToP.

Lapras: Sliph Co.

Charizard: Red's chosen starter because fire and red like in origins.

Butterfree: Red's first caught just like Ash's but he doesn't release it.

Snorlax: Road blocking

Marowak: Son of the mom Marowak killed by team rocket. Red decides to adopt it.
