>>23365251>Gen I+Started the huge Pokemon craze
-Was a crap game with shit game design and shit programming
>Gen II+Repaired almost all of the technical Gen I bugs
-Design was still not the greatest (level scaling was kinda bad, mon route distribution was weird)
>Gen III+Had an incredibly solid set of legendary Pokemon, there were a bunch (Regis, Weather Trio, Deoxys, Jirachi) and they were all really cool
-Backtracking+huge amounts of surfing were tiring
>Gen IV+Physical/special split and the introduction of a bunch of new moves meant that now the vast majority of mons could at least do SOMETHING now competitively, even if they weren't viable in high-tier competitive
-In-game was incredibly slow for some reason, was very irritating to play
>Gen V+Put some effort into branching out and writing a story with a little more depth to it
-Power creep is starting to get really retarded at this point
>Gen VI+Made breeding/EV mechanics significantly easier, so competitive is easier to get into for newbies as well as less time-consuming for serious players
-Handholding/difficulty drop in the main storyline was so severe that in-game isn't even enjoyable
