Look OP, i don't hate it because of bandwagoning. I don't hate it because of guilt by association. I don't hate it because it's Sugimori's sex toy and therefore an obligatory push for Gamefreak.
I hate it because it's one of the few pokemon designs that is actually flawed, if not flat-out bad. Unfortunately it's the one that got pushed. Hell, the stoic, cool kid-friendly pokemon concept was actually executed in a far better fashion later on. Zoroark did its own concept better. So did Greninja, at that.
What we have here is people adhering to 7" B/W TV's when we have 4K shit already.
Although to be honest, my gripe is against its design, not the people who like it. If it can genuinely elicit something positive in peeps like
