Hey /vp/

I have Pokemon SoulSilver (It's the one I wanted) and I constantly see everyone on here saying that HeartGold is tier 1 game and the one to have. The game is pretty pricey on eBay so my question is; should I purchase a pre-owned copy of HeartGold?

Its good but it has a lot of issues. If you're a Kanto fan you'll love it as it focuses more on I generation than the II one

I agree that SoulSilver is superior (it had more of the pokemon I wanted), it's why I bought it instead of HeartGold.

Can anyone explain why HeartGold sells for a higher price than SouldSilver?

Not really much of a difference between them. Ho-oh has a unique battle theme but its not as good as Lugia's.

If you have Soul Silver you got more or less the same definitive experience.

There doesn't seem to be any reason as to why HG is worth more and looking at serebii.net its exactly the same game with a few different Pokemon exclusives. Only reason I can think of is maybe since it's an Asian game and Asians love gold items/accessories (eg. iPhone gold sell like hotcakes in China)

I think Heartgold feels more definitive for some reason, I had Silver when I was little but when I played Soulsilver I always felt like I should have got Heartgold instead. I don't know what it is, but I think it has to do with the fact that Ho-oh seems more tied into the legends and history of the region, whereas Lugia is just stuck in a cave. Ho-oh's cutscenes were a lot more impressive.
