You mean fire steel. Fairy fire would be counterintuitive. After all, the entire fire type resists fairy solely so Charizard X wouldn't be weak to the gay girly type and Charizard fans wouldn't have to deal with them.

Basically, any pokemon getting special treatment would do it. People hate it when it's brought to light that not all things are equal.

Flygon would cause a shitstorm, but Garchomp getting a second mega to "make up for" the crappy distribution on the first one would cause riots on the board.

Charizard-Z would cause quite the shitstorm, although I'm not really sure what they could do with it.

Mega Greninja without megas for the other starters would piss off all the Delphox and Chestnaught fans.

Mega Lucario 2 would do it, although, again, I have no idea how they could handle that one. They kinda used up the best stat distribution on the one we got since it can still go mixed. Maybe jack up its speed and defenses and give it a bullshit ability like fur coat for tank Lucario?

Can you imagine the /pol/ tier discussions that would come up if there was a mega Nidoqueen without a mega-Nidoking?

Another way to cause a shitstorm s to take a beloved design and be lazy and just add spikes or ruin it. Imagine a classic design like Arcanine covered in spikes or standing on two legs with pointy eyes making fists like a sonic the hedgehog reject.

Upon evolving from Charmeleon, three slashing/tearing moves are added to Charizard's level 1 movepool: Dragon Claw, Air Slash, and Shadow Claw. Now that Kecleon has access to Protean, Charizard is the only Pokemon that learns Shadow Claw by level up but cannot receive STAB on it under normal battle conditions.

In the next game Nintend'oh and Gayme Frack will create a new type of MEGASTONE for various Poke's. The difference being that each stone can Mega-Evovle each step of a those Poke's evolution stages.

Example

Mega stone- Chuite

Will evolve each stage of Pichu, Pikachu and Raichu into a Mega.

Same for the following:

Machite - Machop, Machoke, Machamp

Bellite - Bellsprout, Weepinbell, Victreebell

Hitmonite - Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Hitmontop.

Depends on whether or not it becomes part bug. Some of the Flygon fans really have their heart set on it being Ground/Bug with Aerilate but for Bug moves. The other ones are all "That's stupid, just increase its speed and attack so its better than Garchomp since they dropped the ball on the Garchomp mega". One side will be pissed no matter what they do.

Ground/Dragon@Tinted Lens is the best thing they could realistically do for it.

Tinted Lens would be a decent choice if it was gen 5. Now that Fairies exists and mindless Outrage spam is no longer viable it is basically a waste of an ability slot. Ironically Ground/Bug would work much better with Tinted Lens, since Bug has no immunities but A LOT of resists, which Tinted Lens would help get rid of.
