Please stop. I've been watching this series since I was ten myself from the beginning. It's the only piece of media I actually have an interest in since Pokemon is my only hobby. Every league arc feels like what normies call the "Superbowl" to me... I also promised not to kill myself until I see Ash win this thing once and for all. But I want him to win because I grew up with Pokemon too, just like him, and want him to succeed and realize his dreams, especially since I won't.

The XY dex is really limited so they don't have much to work with. I think that their teams are fine. I just hope that Ash will also catch a grass type. Preferably Skiddo or Phantump.

When I was a kid, I loved the idea of Ash evolving Bulbasaur and Squirtle into their final form like how Charmander quickly evolved. I waited for that and years later I stopped watching the anime.

Exactly. The only time unevolved Pokémon were the majority in Ash's team was in Johto and with Phanpy and Cyndaquil evolving in Battle Frontier and Sinnoh that was fixed.
