People come and go. Things change, often for the worse. I haven't been here since the beginning nor have I been here after the shit that went down in 2006. I have been around long enough to see boards change repeatedly.
I was at that stage years ago when the changes in the "community" (for my example, /a/) went sour. I was upset, made some butthurt posts, but things didn't really change in the way I would have liked. Things did change... but only after I stopped caring. Looking at /a/ now isn't really the same as the board back then. Hell, it's not quite like what it was a year ago when I looked then either. That's just the way it is.
tl;dr things change and there's little we can do about it. Pushing back against change is a futile effort.
I'm mostly a lurker now who doesn't come around this site often. It is what it is, man.
