Next step is a game which contains every region from every game so far with a extra Battle Mode with rule settings and custom pokemon for the people that just want maxed-everything-super-pokemon and battle other people with them, hopefully lowering the need for people to hack in pokemon, which will be nicer for those that don't battle competitively and want to play without trades containing a bunch of hacked mons.

Pokemon fusion has already been hinted in some areas of XY and BW2. Possibly even the trainers themselves fusing with the pokemon (with the whole lore about pokemon and humans being 'one and the same' and 'able to marry' in ancient past, and some lab I don't recall in XY talking about fusing DNA, and let's not forget Reshiram x Zekrom fusion.

Just because Chestnaught and Delphox aren't uber doesnt mean they're useless. They're UU and RU respectively which means they're the same as the Hoenn starters tier wise(Blaziken uber, Swampert UU, Sceptile RU)
