So much fun. Really cool getting those cards with your ticket. I still have the Ancient Mew from the Pokemon 2000 movie somewhere. Bless my parents for sitting through them, too. They didn't really like the 4th so much, and neither did I looking back at them.

Only saw films 2 & 3 in theaters, because the first one was sold out opening weekend (and second weekend it was against Toy Story 2, I mean come on!)

Second movie opening day showing was filled with screaming kids, and parents with crying babies.
Literally every time Lugia appeared, the little kids were screaming like it was Jesus.

Third movie opening night showing was filled with teens, 20 somethings, and some pre-teens.

I think I watched the second one in theatres. Sadly I don't remember much.

I do remember having a huge blast watching Pokemon movies in my childhood. Being pissed because Groudon was not real. Crying because Latios died. Oh man.

Picture is my collection. I'm not really looking for movies because my country released only 6 of them (first trilogy, Zoroark, Keldeo and Victini). .

I've watched all 16 movies last summer with my friends (took us 4 days IIRC).
I plan to rewatch them again this summer.

Saw the first one in a small theater with my sister and dad.
It wasn't as good an experience as it could've been, because my dad made it way too obvious how much he disliked pokemon in general. Like sighing all through the film, and commenting on how shit it was just as we got outside.

I love my dad, but to this day Im still angry at him (not that it shows) for not being able to pretend at least being okay with it for the sake of his kids.
I mean really, why couldn't he just shut the fuck up and save the shittalk for when his kids were not around?

Fathers are not good to bear with this kind of things. My father never took me to see Disney/Pokemon/kid movies in general.
Because he disliked it and thought it was shitty.
My mother was always the one doing that, and she was really good at pretending she liked it (though she often genuinely liked the things we saw). She would only make comments on things she thought were inappropriate for children, but generally she was cool with what we watched.
Your father shouldn't have taken you there if it was to turn it into a shitty experience for you.

I saw the very first movie in theaters with my friend and his younger brother. We went as "chaperones" but it was really just an excuse to see the movie.

When Ash was petrified and Pikachu was trying to revive him, the whole theater was silent. So I said, "HE'S DEAD, GET OVER IT" and got some laughs out of the older audience members.

I have never seen another Pokemon movie.

My Mew card started deteriorating after some years and I dont conserve it anymore. My friend went to see it when there were no Mew cards left, so he got a Zapdos. I remember how superior I felt that day.

watched the first at a friend's house, second when it released to VHS, owned the third and watched it in theaters, saw the 7th (destiny deoxys) on TV, 8th (Lucario and the Mystery of Mew) on TV, and then on the pokemon-gl site they were/are hosting the 11th movie (Giratina and the Sky Warrior)

2000 I went to see with my dad and it was pretty great. I got a keychain thing with a "moving picture" on one side of a zoom into ash riding on lugia, and a mini version of the poster on the other.

3 I saw with my dad but some fuckhead pulled the alarm at the theater and my dad was working nights at his job, so we had to take a giftcard/raincheck for it and come back another day. Super sad about that, but I saw it eventually.

4 i found was playing at a local theater, but never saw it. Heroes I had no idea was even in theaters.

I almost saw the Zoroark movie with my friend at the BW Mall Tour, but we missed out on the free tickets by like...5 people so we got fucked there.

I saw the Victini movie (White) with my dad at a like one of the few theaters that had the special promotional showing. Nice little swag bag of stuff for that too.

Kinda sucks they don't play the movies at the theaters any more. I mean, even in a limited showing, I'm sure there's still a large amount of people who'd see the movie. I know there were a ton seeing Zoroark (enough that the whole theater was filled up) and Victini had a pretty full crowd.

My dad would play Stadium with my brothers and on I Saturdays. And he developed a fondness for Tauros. He never had any interest in the anime or cards, however. And he never ragged on me for liking Pokemon into adulthood (while all my other brothers grew out of it.)

Pokemon 4ever was the first straight to DVD release movie in America and the last one I've seen upon release - I think, it depends on if the Deoxys movie premiere on WB was legit a premiere or TV premiere; I never cared enough to look into it. The first three movies I did see in theaters and by far my most fond memory was getting my Ancient Mew card that I recently lost when moving.

The first was a massive event with queues out the door
The second was one of the most empty cinema screenings I've ever seen, and that was on launch day.
We actually had more people show up when we screened it at my university last year.
