Its still possible. ORAS was announced in May and released in November (not to mention the real campaign started in June because in May we got only covers and a super short Groudon/Kyogre teaser). BW2 was announced in February and released in June. Thats only four months. If GF wants new games out in November/December there's still time enough to announce and promote them
Not this year? Ok, no problem at all, there's always next year. It seems some western fans have problems with it because since Platinum they were getting new game every year which isnt the case for the japanesse fans.
One thing im sure though: we will hear about new games this year. There'a another Mega Evolution special due for late 2015 and its quite obvious they'll reveal/show some new mega evo(s) in it.
Also if there wont be new games this year then early next year it is then. Why early and not late? The anime. If last VI gen game would be out in late 2016 then gen VII earliest possible premiere would be late 2017. I cant imagine XY going that long. Sure they can add filler but i dont believe they'd add 2,5 half year of filler since Ash is already at 6th badge.

For example they were working on XY 3,5 years (!!!)... And despite all that time it doesnt have much of a post game. That's why saying things like "the game was rushed" is stupid. They can work on a game for 10 years but if they'll decide there wont be post game then there just wont be. Its not a matter of time but a matter of GF's decisions.
