There was an xy rom out recently. Had a change in difficulty, new evolution methods and some funky stuff like luvdisc evolving into alomomola and carbink into diancie. Can't remember what it's called but heard it's pretty cool so google it I guess.

Google Pokemon Naturia. It's a hack of Gold/Silver/Crystal. Lots of gen 4, 5 and 6 mons replace Gen 1 and 2 mons.

You'll like it. The sprite work is pretty good.

There's a newly updated one called Pokemon Dreamlight that has some gen 6 pokes and ORAS megas in it. It's basically just a modified version of firered, and unfortunately it's also in chinese.
