I don't want it to be based on anything in real life. If I wanted to play a game based in an area in real life, I would play GTA. Pokemon is supposed to be an RPG game. They need to EXPAND their ideas and think of their own settings for more potential for creativity and not be confined to boundaries of reality. It's a world full of monsters that you can capture in balls and store them in PC storage. Why not have an environment that captures those ideas?

Here on Brazil, we have a giant amount of fauna an flora species, and some potential areas, a desertic one (being the northeast region), a closed jungle being the Amazonic Forest, and it goes on.. An example of an usable animal is the Lobo-Guará or even the Capivaras (i really don't know their names in english, i'm sorry).
