Mega Lop has a plethora of walls it can't 2HKO, while offense has things like Azu, Scizor, Lando-T, Conk, bulky Bird, etc to deal with it.
Mega Altaria on the other hand is pretty dangerous, considering it can steamroll most teams by DDing & Megaing on the right mon. It's like Mega Char-X, but bulkier and with a nearly unresisted Play Rough/EQ combo. I will say the special version is shit, though. I think mostly stall-inclined teams run it, for the sake of the Heal Bell slot. The Cotton Guard physical variant only really shits on offense, but it's still a thing.
