>>23443647>first year of HiatusPeople are wondering where the new Pokemon game is. Something is usually at least leaked by this time, but so far there's not even been a hint about the new game. Most people are still expecting something to come out relatively soon.
>second year of HiatusPeople are seriously worried at this point, but are still expecting a new game eventually. Perhaps Gamefreak is busy doing something else? Perhaps they're adding a new mechanic that is taking a long time for some reason? No one can say for sure, but surely a new game will come soon.
>fifth yearBy this point, people have given up hope, and are crying all over the internet, asking "What happened?
"Where are my Pokemon games?"
>tenth yearPokemon is pretty much dead at this point. Kiddies no longer know what it is, merchandise is no longer sold, and art is rarely made anymore. Competitive battling on the internet is still a thing, but is far less active than it is now. /vp/, due to lack of traffic, was removed some years ago.
>twentieth year, and release of the gameOut of no-where, the game is released. The bitter, now middle-aged men who used to post on /vp/ are overwhelmed with joy and furious rage. They flood /v/, and due to the overwhelming number of posts, /vp/ is revived that very same day. Once again, the board is filled with endless pages of shitposting. Hundreds of threads, thousands of posts, and enough greentext to wrap around the circumference of the Earth; everyone arguing and kekking in unison. Each person seeming to hate every other person at each and every step, but are united so strongly and so profoundly that they all gather together after two decades. The next few months are filled with chaos and revelry the likes of which /vp/ has never seen before, and all for the timeless love, and hatred, for Pokemon.
