You didn't fix anything. People would still spam Stealth Rock but now, instead of having more options, every team would have Excadrill to Rapid Spin.

It's already Talonflame spam, even with the current SR.

At least a direct nerf will give lower tier pokemon like Volcarona a chance to shine.

just ban the stupid move, at least others have methods of easily evading

Spikes->you have to stack 3 layers to be effective and flying types are inmune to it

Poison spikes->Doesnt affect steel nor poison types,flying types are not affected, if a poison type gets switched in they get removed

Stealth rock->Affects everyone,can only be removed via 2 moves that BARELY got any distribution and one of those is weak to the rocks

Volcaronas issue stems from Talon more than rocks, even with rocks nerfed, it would actually only promote Talonflame more. Charizard may be weak too but it doesn't get scared out from its presence.

Barely. Every tier has SR, and in the rockless OU ladder last gen it was just Dragonite/Volcarona spam. The only thing that really moved up was Weavile, which barely gained any viability as it was already top-tier UU. So really the only things that benefited from Rock's removal was the stuff that was already good.

Defog is on a lot of great mons thanks to Gen 4 HM, which doesn't matter when you're on a sim. Plus there are plenty of great spinners (especially with Exca back) and more Magic Bounce mons than ever.

It's only a pain if you want to play on cart, in which case blame GF for buffing it and then retardedly not adding it as a tutor.
