But on the whole yeah, you were largely free to travel, talk to whoever to get some insights and tips, but there was no clearly defined point a --> point b --> point c, etc, clumsy, vapid exposition dumps by the rival/champion/villian at every junction. Shit, I think it's still the only game where a couple of badges didn't have to be obtained in a set order.
