ok /vp/, a new update and online event comes out that gives ditto holding a "speed orb" which raises a pokemon's speed to 1.3x and makes it lose 10% whenever it attacks (life orb but with speed)

what changes in the metagame? who is good and who is bad?

A lot of faster Megas will take a hit as way more pokes will be able to keep up with them.

The speed creep will pressure people to run it over life orbs, and the lower teamwide damage could help to bring back stall.

Knock off will become even more OP.

This would be good, allowing to lower the hyperoffense creep status of the game.
Also give it to Florges/Delphox and start the steal/pass items madness

Honestly, not that much

The major benefit of life orb is that it benefits attack and special attack, not just a single stat like this orb would with speed, and the recoil without the damage boost means scarf lets you go faster without taking damage

Most things would still rather run a choice scarf
