One thing we can safely bet on for the next game is that there'll be a new type of mega evolution for regular mons, likely related to Zygarde, right? I can't see them just throwing more normal megas at us and calling it a day like they did for ORAS. This will be the sequel to the games that introduced mega evolution after all. No idea what battle gimmick they could have that's different to current megas though.
