Hey /vp/
So, is there anyway of resetting to make sure your Odd Egg is shiny?

Can I save before it hatches or do I need to save before I actually receive the egg?

Any egg's contents are decided when you receive it. You'd need to save before accepting the egg.

Japanese Crystal: Odd Egg has 50% chance of being shiny

Non-Japanese Crystal: only 12.5% (AFAIK)

Make sure it's shiny because if it isn't it will have the Gen II equivalent of having 0 in every IV.

In the Japanese version, you had to use the mobile phohe system to exchange the Egg Ticket for the Odd Egg so the only way of even getting the Odd Egg these days is by cheating.

Odd Egg is received through just TALKING to the Old Man at the Day Care center in International versions. 14% chance of being shiny

Japanese version has you get it through the mobile phone system and exchanging a ticket for the Odd egg. 50% of being shiny.

I have no idea about OP's question though.
