I loved Red/Blue Rescue Team. Never played Explorers of Time/Space/Sky, but apparently I didn't miss much. I expect Super Mystery Dungeon to be more of the same from the series, but I'm okay with that.

Of course, my opinion is biased towards Red/Blue, but if it's as good as I remember those games being, I'm okay with dropping $40.

Well GTI dropped massively in terms of quality so I'm not sure if it'll go back to basics. Time/darkness/sky were pretty good games, in fact better in plot, but other than that there isn't much difference aside from that and looking prettier.

There's been other good 3D mystery dungeons in the past, though, like the Wii Chocobo one. Pokemon is not the only game series they've crossed over with.

Hawlucha, Florges, Pyroar, Slurpuff/Aromatisse no doubt. It's so much easier to predict such characters bearing in mind it's a small gen. But the words 'super' imply to me that they're incorporating all the other gens, if not most to me.

Yes, there's hope. They still have the assets from Gates to Infinity, so the engine and 288 Pokemon were finished as soon as the game was greenlit. Gates' biggest problem was not having enough time to finish, which shouldn't be an issue this time around.

I'm not saying Sky's story is bad. I'm saying it's good in a different way. I appreciated the minimalism of Rescue Team.
And if I remember, you can't properly stack items in Explorers of Sky's bank system.

The whole point about "battling alongside mystical and legendary pokémon" caught my attention in particular, when I remembered that the giant legendaries were confined to boss battle missions in Gates to Infinity.

I actually had no problems with Gates's 3D art.

I was fucking annoyed that I couldn't play as my Pikachu/mudkip team I've been running in every damn game. not to mention all the Gen 5&6 pandering. With a text speed slower than dial up. And less of an emotional arc than the previous 2 games.

They better not be lazy cunts this time.

Literally any one of these come in really handy in the whole special. If you don't get at least one of these moves, you can start the whole thing again.

Of course. All the PMD games are by (Spike) Chunsoft.

Why are there so many people who think that spinoffs are made by Nintendo or Game Freak? I've seen too many people saying that, or that they want them to make a new Ranger game.
