Despite XY being around 10 years after ORAS, both claim Fairy-type has been recently discovered.

A FRLG equivalent version of Yellow = OR/AS -> HG/SS = Platinum -> B/W -> B2/W2 -> X/Y (all with mega evolution existing)

Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Gold, Silver, etc all exist in other universe. There are probably hundreds of combinations of them. Some universes may have Red, Soul Silver and Mega Evolution-less Y. Some might have Leafgreen, Crystal and Emerald with Mega Evolution or even some made up shit like Testicular Evolution where Pokemon can grow ballsacks.

Universes 1 and 2 go fairly simple.
1A is all the first games of the duo and 1B is the second games of the duo

2 is where Steel/Dark type was already discovered in Kanto.

Universe 3 is the third games of each gen and it cannot continue to gen 3 because Crystal and Platinum are the third game and there is no match in gen 5 for them. Universe 4 is the universe with Mega Evolution.

The next game could possibly fuck over everything in this timeline. If Corless appears and says mega evolution is what he's been searching for its fucked.

Pseudo-Origins events could have happened, but to properly fit into what HGSS had, Red needs to obtain an unevolved Pikachu, all three starters, Snorlax and Lapras. So it's easier to just say something mirroring the events of Yellow took place, but more updated like FRLG so he isn't overwhelmed that 3 new types, eggs, Sp Attack and Defense, etc all exist out of nowhere.

Considering in Origins Red caught literally 150 Pokemon, it's not impossible for him to have the Pokemon that you mentioned.

There is no timeline. There's only two things you need to worry about. Which games can directly trade with each other, and what you'll need to send stuff to the pokebank for. That is all you need to know. Trying to explain why things are in certain games but not in others is an exercise in futility and no one should bother with it, ever.

Since we're speaking of timelines, let's consider this: during the Delta Episode Mr. Stone says his grandfather took part of the 3000-years-ago ultimate weapon to use that technology and obtain Infinity Energy. HOW, if XY's events happen years later and I assume no-one had discovered the weapon until then?
