Luci's flaming foot impacts Eugene's chest, sending him skidding back across the beach and scorching a hole in his parka to reveal a skinny chest beneath, little more than pale skin and bones. Rolling backwards and to his feet, Eugene conjures a ball of undulating purple energy and flings it at Luci. "Whatever that witch is doing, stop her!"

His Tentacruel is a little too asleep to defend itself or fight back, and the stunprod zaps it hard... only for it to fade away and reveal a Zoroark standing asleep in the shallow water. The Claydol redirects its attention to the Channeler and sends pulses of psychic interference to disrupt her concentration.

I'd argue everyone is in some sense, but everyone has their own strengths, weaknesses, styles and patterns. For instance, Black Mage and Gengar are both strong writers. Geng excels while he's getting into the atmosphere, while BM is good at taking completely non-serious characters and getting them to be taken seriously, while maintaining humor and plain bizarreness of it all.

Or something like that.

Meanwhile, I like to think I'm decent with narrating inner monologues and generally conveying thoughts through just the narration itself.

As for Chermaine herself, there was little to add to the discussion. Did that sound pathetic? Probably. If anyone else were to hear him say this, he knew for sure that he'd instantly lose all credibility as a leader. After all, how can a leader be effective if he's bogged down by petty things like feelings for another person? They just get in the way, don't they?
